BENVENUTI
One Italian Girl began with a feeling.
Not a business idea, but a lifelong love for Italy and WHAT it represents.
The beauty found in everyday rituals. The importance of meals shared around tables. The colors, textures, and tiny details you notice when you slow down. The kind of craftsmanship that takes the time that it takes. It’s an appreciation for beautiful things, certainly. But even more, for a beautiful way of moving through the world. One Italian Girl is a lover letter to all of it.
CIAO, I’M DANIELLE
Italy has been part of my story since before I can remember.
My first trip was at six months old, when my parents brought me to Italy to meet my Nonna and the family who would give me a deep sense of belonging to a place an ocean away from home.
I kept going back.
Over a lifetime of trips, I collected observations, feelings, and memories that stayed with me: family stories, favorite places, meals, colors, expressions, rituals and moments. And somewhere along the way, Italy became more than somewhere I loved to visit. It became part of the way I see the world.
ONE ITALIAN GIRL is my way of sharing that view with you.

WHY 1941
Much of the way I see Italy came from my father, Lucio, born in 1941.
He believed quality mattered. Not for appearances, but because caring about the details was a way of caring about people. He valued things made well, meals worth lingering over, generosity, and taking pride in what you put into the world.
That philosophy stayed with me. 1941 appears throughout One Italian Girl as a tribute to him and as a reminder of where this story began.
WHY SCARVES
Some memories deserve something more permanent than a photograph.
A scarf is a perfect canvas: something beautiful but useful, personal but endlessly expressive. Something that can hold a story and then become part of someone else’s.
Each One Italian Girl scarf begins with a memory, place, ritual or detail collected from Italy and translates it into silk.
A story you can wear. A little Italy you can take with you.
MADE IN ITALY
If One Italian Girl was going to tell stories about Italy, making them there mattered too.
Every scarf is produced entirely in Italy using the world’s finest silk, production in Lake Como, and hand-sewing and finishing. Even the packaging (down to the tissue paper) is made in Italy. We work with artisans whose expertise has been refined and passed down through generations.
There are cheaper ways and there are faster ways. But “Made in Italy” means everything to us.
